HISTORY: Toxic Culture's history is a long untold story which will take years to complete. It all started in 2001, Vartevar Sarkissian formed a band with two members of no importance. As Vartevar was in school he met Rick Ramrattan, bassist of Ill+Legal. Ill-legal wasnt doing to well with him, so I asked him to join as a second guitarist as he was also a guitar player. So Rick and Vartevar jammed with these two characters Ramy and Shady and had a band called Sic+Mented; the name says enough, the band played their first and last show in may 25th, 2002. Vartevar wanted out and wanted a much serious and better sounding original band. He was going to create Toxic Culture, Rick and Vartevar discussed this issue, and reformed a fresh band with a fresh start; leaving the history of sic mented behind. The first man recruited for the job was Mark "Al" Capone who would fill in bass duties for the band. Rick was playing 2nd guitar, Vartevar was playing guitar and doing lead vocals, and then they recruited Arnold "The Brown Man" Perira who was also in ill-legal but also left and was quickly scouted by Vartevar and Rick. They jammed for 2 weeks only having two songs, such as E.R.A.C.E. and Bullet. E.R.A.C.E. the first TC song written by yours truly Mr. Sark =) !! Anyways, so this journey continues. One day as Vartevar is in Drama Class he spots a poster saying "What kind of society do we live in if it is toxic, a toxic culture" A HA! Vartevar ran to his fellow band mates, hey look at this "Toxic Culture", the name stayed. Arnold joined ill-legal once again and TC didnt want him in two bands so they parted ways. TC quickly without wasting a single hour called Carmin on the phone, hey buddy play drums. And there you have it June 25th, 2002, Carmen Nufrio joins TC! With Carmen great masterpieces were written, E.R.A.C.E. revised, the stunning tune Departure! Then Vartevars Sick mind in Bodily Temptations. The list went on, TC finally played their first show July 28th, 2002 which was a failure, but then had the real first show July, 29th, 2002, the best TC show to date, not really but it was the best by a bands first real live show. After that TC never saw Carmen again. They recruited Ramy in August who filled in for two shows, and Then Arnold came strolling along and was picked up again. After this TC played non stop shows, but this is where the real mess begins. Mark Capone parted ways with TC as they were just about to go on break to future interests in things we cannot describe. The band terminated Arnold in january of 2003 due to hardship in co-existence. Two members left, but then as Arnold was parting ways, the new singer Lino Lorenzatti came and joined TC as the new vocalist as Vartevar was stepping down and playing lead guitar. TC had no bassist, So Rick dropped guitar and went to bass. Vartevar Did back ups, Rick bass, and Lino Vocals. They recruited a drummer by the name of Fernando "The Mole" Villalobos, who exceled at his game. TC played 5 more shows and then in may Rick decided to leave the band to pursue more careers with nothing but a deep regret lol! anyways enough of the depressing shit, Don got recruited in june, missed the show in june 14th, due to already a fill in playing, and played his first shows with TC in August. TC recorded their album August 2003 and it is complete but has yet to see a release date =| !!! Rick decides, Hey i made a mistake, Especially ditching your FRIENDS! =( I joke, anyways, Rick got back in the game November 8th, 2003 our show at the kathedral as 2nd Guitarist and it went well. Now TC is a 5 piece band. Now TC is a 4 piece band once again Sound: Toxic Culture literally, and not like everyone else saying they are original but literally has a sound of their own and cannot be stolen by anyone else. Toxic Culture's Vartevar Sarkissian of Armenian Descent brings forth an influence of Armenian music, Vocal talents and weird music like Mr.Bungle, Mike Patton, Dillinger Escape Plan, System of A Down, Abloom, One Side Zero, OneSideZero, HArout. Lino of Hispanic Culture Bringing in the influences of a raged trash metal punk fan from slayer to ..... Old school RANCID no spanish tunes, and Fernando also of Hispanic descent who brings in the influence of SLAYER, and RICK who is Irish and Guyanese brings in his Killswitch Engage and ATARIS haha I joke, but .. in flames, and don who is of we dont know what the fuck hes from brings in his love for mudvayne! if you literally want serious information you can contact the band by going to our site!
